IWBCTS Webinar: Exploring all possibilities of WBCT use around the knee
International Weight Bearing CT Society (IWBCTS) Past President Francois Lintz, MD, PhD, FEBOT, will interview the chair of the newly established Knee Committee of the Society.
Camilo Helito, MD, PhD, is a knee surgeon in Sao Paulo, Brazil whose clinical focus includes knee arthroplasty. He has incorporated weight bearing CT (WBCT) imaging into his research and in certain clinical scenarios.
“I am sure WBCT will change the way we assess bone healing, alignment, and other things we do on a regular basis,” Dr. Helito said.
Dr. Helito’s recent publication in Skeletal Radiology outlines a protocol for assessing knee instability in ACL-injured knees using WBCT. His team’s ongoing research includes comparing WBCT knee studies with results from physical examinations; comparing WBCT studies to MRI studies; and examining the effects of weight bearing on tibial slope and tibial rotation/translation.
You can register for the webinar, which will be Saturday, May 25 at 10 a.m. ET, here.
