German Course Certifies Ortho Surgeons to Operate Cone Beam CT (DVT)

The 28th International Symposium for Foot Surgery in Munich will have a special focus on Digital Volumetric Tomography (DVT), the German moniker for cone beam CT imaging.
Orthopedic surgeons can attend a live session Dec. 3 that will focus on how to safely operate DVT systems in the orthopedic office. The morning agenda includes radiation safety protocols and radiation dose measurement methods. The afternoon will include an extensive review of upper and lower extremity indications for DVT, and a presentation of several case examples. The course will end with a comparison of traditional medical CT and DVT. Participants will get hands-on experience with the CurveBeam LineUP. Upon completion, orthopedic surgeons will be qualified to operate DVT in Germany.
Speakers include Prof. Dr. med Markus Walther & Dr. med Christian Kindler, of Schoen Clinic in Munich.
