CurveBeam Standard Warranty Terms

CurveBeam, LLC warrants the purchaser that this hardware system will be free from defects for a period of one (1) year from the Warranty Activation Date (typically the date of installation). During the warranty period, CurveBeam, LLC will correct any defects in material or workmanship, at no charge for material, labor or travel. Any replacement parts shall be new or serviceable used parts and are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer.

This warranty includes routine software maintenance upgrades, but excludes optional application modules.

Also included in the extended warranty is unlimited access to CurveBeam’s customer support team, (267-483-8089) for general questions, accreditation and billing support, technical phone support and remote diagnostics, IT support, on-site service, maintenance, repairs, replacement of defective parts (including full CT Tube and Flat Panel Detector coverage) and labor, which will be furnished without charge by CurveBeam LLC. Data back-up is not covered and is the customer’s responsibility. External data transfer that requires customized scripts is not covered but assistance is available upon request (refer to F72-2.2 Price Sheet, pg. 2, line item M0024 for pricing).

Service and maintenance will be provided during the hours of 8:00AM-8:00PM (US EST) Monday through Friday, excluding the following (observed) holidays, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Service and maintenance requested outside of service hours will be charged at $25 each 10-minute interval for remote/phone support. On-site visits outside of service hours will be charged at $150 per hour (4 hrs. min) plus travel expenses, quotation available.

Service Response Time: 30 minutes by telephone and same day or next day for on-site support.

Should you elect not to extend your warranty period, you may contract with CurveBeam, LLC on an as-needed basis (refer to F72-2.2 Price Sheet, pg. 3 for pricing).

If a warranty contract lapses for more than thirty (30) days, the purchaser has the option to renew at a price 10% over the standard price. A renewed lapsed contract will activate sixty (60) days after full payment is received. Any technical support, labor or replacement parts provided prior to activation of renewal will be billed at standard rates on an as-needed basis.

CurveBeam Extended Warranty Option

CurveBeam, LLC will extend the terms of the standard device 1-year warranty, which begins on date of installation, for up to an additional 4 years, as specified in the original purchase agreement, or subsequent warranty-specific purchase agreements (refer to F72-2.2 Price Sheet, pg. 3 for pricing).

For systems that have aged beyond 5 years, warranty coverage that includes all parts except the server, MD workstation, and computer monitors can be extended on an annual basis.

An annual calibration and maintenance check are included in the extended warranty term.

CurveBeam does not warrant or cover the following:

  • Damage caused by impact with other objects, dropping, falls, spilled liquids or immersion in liquids
  • Damage caused by a disaster such as fire, flood, wind, earthquake, or lightning
  • Damage caused by unauthorized attachments, alterations, modifications or foreign objects
  • Damage caused by failure to provide a suitable operating environment
  • Damage caused by the use of the hardware system for purposes other than those for which it was designed
  • Damage from improper maintenance performed by other than OEM trained personnel
  • Damage from improper electrical connection or supply
  • Damage caused by any other abuse, misuse, mishandling, or misapplication
  • Damage to internal or external computer, software, or operating system caused by:
  • Unauthorized additions or changes, Viruses, spyware or gaming software
  • Applications other than its intended use.
  • Damage caused by third party software or damage caused by unauthorized changes to the system software
  • Damage caused by unauthorized upgrades, additions, deletions or unnecessary internet use, or any other unauthorized application.
  • Under no circumstances shall CurveBeam, LLC be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages based upon breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, strict liability or any other legal theory. Such damages include, but are not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of use of hardware system or any associated equipment, cost of capital, cost of substitute or replacement equipment, facilities or services, down time, purchaser’s time, the claims of third party, including customers, and injury to property.
